The Spanish United Left (Izquierda Unida, IU) is a political coalition in Spain that was founded in 1986. Internationally, the party promotes peace, solidarity, and cooperation, opposing military interventions and supporting self-determination for peoples around the world.

Despite its influence on Spanish politics, particularly at the local and regional levels, United Left has struggled to translate its support into significant national electoral success, often overshadowed by the larger PSOE. However, its role as a critical voice on the left continues to influence Spanish political discourse, especially on issues related to social justice, the environment, and economic policy.
